About My Second Life
Ok, its time for a long overdue update to this silly thing. I've been here over a year now, and I'm not sure what amazes me more - how much has changed, or how much has remained the same. I came over here with my two best friends a year ago from an adult oriented Sex game called Red Light Center (RLC) looking for a bigger and brighter adventure than what that game had to offer, and I'm happy to say I've found it.
When I look back over the past year I shake my head in amazement (And no it didn't rattle!) at all I've done. I fell in love (with another girl yet, which is a first for me!) and got partnered (and remain so to this day!). I became a DJ, and now I'm the DJ manager at a club and have trained several other DJs who are also finding success. I've made many friends, and even a couple of enemies. I've also experienced the seemier side of SL, exploring places like Dark Alley, Force Park, Rottendam, and other such places. If you're familiar with what goes on in those places then I don't have to tell you what happened to me there. If you're not, then trust me you don't want to know.
Lots and lots has happened, but through it all the one thing that's remained constant is my friendships. I'm not exaggerating one bit when I say that some of the friendships I've developed in here are as important to me as any RL friendships I've ever had. I've met some of the brightest and most wonderful people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, and I've learned that you don't have to physically meet somebody in order to love them dearly.
So, that's my story, or at least as much as has been written thus far. I can't say how long I'll be here or what my next adventure will be, but this much I can say for certain: Someday, long after the last chapter in my SL story has been written, I'll look back on all of this and remember many dear, dear friends. And I'll smile. And cry.
