1. Personally I prefer avatars as they are, with all their imperfections. Most morph photos I have seen are gross and often I wonder why people ever pay for such a thing? I made few morphs for me and my friends but when it comes to client's photos, first thing I ask them (and other photographers that make morphs) is to show me a stock photo free for commercial use, they never did lol.
Biggest problem with morphs is the fact that most avatars faces are not proportional so we need to resize and puppet eyes and lips, result can be good but also can be some completely other face :p
