New HDD & Someone Doesn't Like Bugs
Posted 2/13/2013 3:48:43 PM by NrrdGrrl - [Show All My Posts]

I'm finally back to working on mesh for SL. My HDD had to be replaced since it started to sound like a hand sander was being used on it when I booted my pc up.

I've installed everything I had before with one exception. Blender refused to recognize that I had python installed and so I can not get sculpty images from it. Oh well.

I switched to ZBrush! OMFG, why did I not do this before? I've taken three solid days of reading pdfs and tutorials on the interface. I'm amazed at the Spotlight feature. This means I can take the SL Avavtar obj, fix it, up the division levels and sculpt details on it then save from back, and both sides as images to then project onto the low rez model for texture export.

I never knew what anyone was talking about when they said to get the quality of those 3k L skins you would need a strong 3D program. Now I do and I'm addicted.

Off topic: Someone doesn't seem to like those Madagascar cockroaches I took pictures with or my buzzed side cut. Most of those got a rating of 1. Lol. Glad I could gross someone out.

Cheers!
