Misleading Adverts
Posted 2/25/2010 5:06:32 AM by Yvette Clavenham - [Show All My Posts]

Aren't some adverts misleading? This for example...

Why would anyone want to connect a radio to a computer and then need drivers for it to work under Micro$haft Windows XP?

1) If the wireless is a router made before XP was released then any drivers would already be in XP.

2) If the router was made after XP was released then it would come with any drivers it required and if you lost the routers drivers CD, you could easily download them from the router manufacturers website although most would work using XP's generic drivers.

3) If the wireless was already in the computer then any drivers would be in the computer else supplied with the computer. If it was a plugin adapter to enable you to connect wirelessly to a router then same thing, it would come with any drivers it needed.
